What Is OU Kosher?
Kosher has informally entered the English language as to mean, “proper” or “acceptable”. However, Kosher laws originate from the Bible, and are detailed in the Talmud and other codes of Jewish Traditions. Kosher standards both ancient and modern still govern OU Kosher certification today.
The OU Kosher symbol appears on over 60% of America’s produced foods, meaning they are Kosher certified. In fact, over one $150 billion of Kosher certified products are consumed annually and continues to increase.
The Kosher symbol is considered to represent foods that are optimal for our diet as well as our spiritual health.
The Royal Hawaiian story spans decades of macadamia growing, beginning in 1948 with the founding of the Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Company. Though our look has evolved over the years (this can dates back to the late 1960s!), our dedication to health, wellness, and “living Aloha” live on to this day.
